Gleeds’ James Faflik scoops APM Midlands Young Project Manager of the Year Award 2016

James Faflik, Graduate Project Manager at international property and construction consultancy Gleeds, was last night awarded the APM Midlands Young Project Manager of the Year Award. The presentation evening, which was held at the Rolls Royce Learning and Development Centre in Derby, was also attended by a further two finalists from Gleeds; Assistant Project Managers Tom Whiley and Hassan Amin.

The award is open to project managers and specialists and seeks to recognise rising talent of those in the early stages of their careers. It honours those who are making a difference to their projects, the companies and clients they work with and the project management profession as a whole. The award emphasises the positive contribution the project manager has made to their project, whilst recognising the essential role that project management techniques have in delivering success.

As part of the evening, the finalists were required to give a short presentation on the project they had been nominated for. James spoke about The GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratories for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, for which Gleeds provided project management and employer’s agent services.

A huge congratulations to James; and well done to Tom, Hassan and the other finalists who all delivered excellent presentations for their respected projects.
