We are proud to announce that we have been officially named as one of the UK’s Top 25 Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing (2023) by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture.

Great Place to Work’s culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing people’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security.

Gleeds scored highly across all wellbeing questions in its surveys, with 87% saying they can be themselves at work and the same number feeling that colleagues genuinely care about each other. Asked why Gleeds is unique, respondents said that ‘…the wellbeing of its people truly matters to the company’, and that, despite its ambitious growth plans, the business demonstrates a ‘…genuine desire to promote wellbeing’ amongst employees.

Commenting on our latest accreditation, Kate Williams, UK people director said, “Having recently been recognised as a Great Place to Work in the UK, I am thrilled that we’ve now gone one step further with this accolade.  Gleeds firmly believes in the importance of promoting and supporting its employee’s wellbeing, so it’s rewarding to see that our actions are having a positive impact on staff across the board.”

Managing director of Gleeds UK, Anthony Cork added, “It's proven that employee productivity increases when people are happy at work, so it goes without saying that keeping morale and motivation high is vitally important. Gleeds recognises that its people are its most important asset and invests in them accordingly – prioritising wellbeing and cultivating a healthy environment where people look forward to coming to work, confident that they will be given the support they need to be themselves.”

“At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website,” explains Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work UK.

“Now in our second year of the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list, we’re once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing. A huge congratulations to Gleeds for making this prestigious list,” he went on to say.
