Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby
A ‘village of spaces’ where individuals from different religions can come together, Derby University’s Multi-Faith Centre provides congregation rooms, a meditation suite, meeting rooms, office space, library facilities and ancillary accommodation.
Completed in 2004, the building was the result of an extensive consultation process between the university and a diverse spectrum of faiths.
Designed by architect Mark Swindells, it was awarded the Ibstock-RIBA Award for Architectural Excellence in the East Midlands in 2005.
