Gleeds secures pole position as project management provider for Nottingham City Council

Gleeds has secured pole position on a new project management framework that Nottingham City Council will use to procure an estimated £1bn worth of work.

The firm will provide project management expertise for council-wide services, making this the first framework of its kind in the council’s history. It has been created in support of Nottingham City Council’s strategic regeneration programme, designed to promote regional growth and its commercial agenda to reduce costs and improve services. It will cover areas including economic and regional development activity, highways and transportation, schools and education, customer access and service provision.

Gleeds Director for the East Midlands, Anthony Cork, said: “This is a really important win for us. It presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the city’s growth, as well as expanding our project management capability. A lot of people still think of Gleeds as quantity surveyors, when in actual fact we provide all manner of property consultancy services.”

Gleeds will be drawing on recent project management experience at the University of Nottingham and InTu’s Broadmarsh development to help the council achieve quality solutions at the best value.

The framework will run for two years with the opportunity to extend the agreement for a further two.
