Nightingale Primary School gets cooking with Jamie Oliver and his Food Revolution

Pupils in years two, three and four from Nightingale School in Hackney Wick became cooks for the day when they took part in Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day.

With the help of a team of 10 volunteers from London-based construction consultancy, Gleeds, the children were helped to explore food’s fun side, getting hands-on creating cress pots (pictured) and making their own ‘squash sandwich’ – meals inspired by celebrity chef and school food campaigner, Jamie Oliver.
